The 20th Annual Illinois BBQ Championship will convene at BBQ's Field of Dreams in Shannon, IL on Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10. Over 50 teams from all over the county will vie for cash and prizes.
This competition is a double-header with 2 great contests:
The Butt to Butt Invitational:
* Top Pork Shoulder cookers compete Butt to Butt
    * Begins on Friday with awards ceremony Friday night
    * Compete for cash, prizes and the Coveted Boar's Tooth Award
         
Illinois State BBQ Championship:   * Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned contest
      * 4 BBQ Categories compete for Grand and Reserve Champions
Grand champion qualify for the American Royal Invitational BBQ contest in Kansas City and the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational pool.
      * 2 additional Categories of competition
